Anyone with cancer want to answer some interview questions?

I’m a highschooler that needs to interview a cancer patient for a health project. You only have to answer 10 questions so here it goes… What is your age, gender, and type of cancer? How did you respond to learning that you had cancer? Did you act differently? Did it change your perspective on things? How did you tell others (friends/family) when you learned? What do you have to change in your daily life to accommodate for your cancer? What treatments do you have? And how much time/effort do they take? Do they dictate the rest of your life? How does your cancer affect the people around you? Is there anything (like advice) that you would like to share with either a fellow cancer person or someone afraid of getting cancer? Please give some background info on yourself and feel free to give any other info that you feel in necessary. Thanks aton!

Breast cancer questions that should be asked?

Dec 23, 2009 Author: alexa | Filed under: Cancer
vancie121 asked:

Does anyone know of a good site that has qusetions you should ask at your first appointment with the specialist?

My mom just go diagnosed with breast cancer and I am looking for somewhere that has questions she (or I) should ask at the first visit. At this point she doesn’t have any information except that her biopsy came back positive for cancer. With the size and description it sounds as if it is one of the early stages but I want to know what kind of questions we need to make sure we ask so that we can be fully informed.

I’ve been looking on the cancer sites for information (cancer.org, cancer.gov, etc…) are there any other ones that people recommend?
Can anyone help? Thanks.

Besides how bad is it and what is next.

-by doing a self breast exam, how would you know that you have breast cancer?
-at the end of my nipples, it’s red (sometimes) and only sometimes, the skin will peel a little bit–not that much!! i don’t feel any bumps or lumps, but i’m a little worried about the nipples.
-i’m not sure, but i used to wear a bra with stitching on the inside of the cup, and it could be from that, since it scratched it.

What are some great questions to ask these people?

ONLY PROFESSIONAL RELEVANT QUESTIONS, PLEASE.
I’m sorry. I meant the Race for a Cure, not Susan B. Anthony.
