-by doing a self breast exam, how would you know that you have breast cancer?
-at the end of my nipples, it’s red (sometimes) and only sometimes, the skin will peel a little bit–not that much!! i don’t feel any bumps or lumps, but i’m a little worried about the nipples.
-i’m not sure, but i used to wear a bra with stitching on the inside of the cup, and it could be from that, since it scratched it.
I am 23 and have a history of breast cancer in my family (2 aunts on my mother’s side). I’ve never done self breast exams, though I touch them enough to know I don’t have any lumps
My grandmother on my dad’s side as well as my mom have had breast cancer and I know I’m at risk. I go to my “girl doctor” every year and get my exams like I’m supposed to, but just for extra precautions, I’d like to know how to do them myself in addition to my regular check ups.
What I want to know is…
How to do a self breast exam?
How often should I do them?
When is the best time to do them?
And what exactly am I looking for?
Any additional advice or information is more than welcome.
I am 24 (will be November 9) I have large breasts (DD) (very close to DDD) I started my first menstruation at the age of 9. and well my question is, I have read that women who start (Menstruation) early are more likely to get breast cancer. is this true? should I be worried? I’ve just found out how to do a BSE (Breast Self-Exam) and will start to. Thanks for any of your information. ( Also if you have had Breast Cancer, What do you go through? Mentally and Physically?)
Even though I’m not a doctor and don’t have any medical training I still care about all the breast out there. I would like to offer free low tech mammograms in an effort to prevent breast cancer. Yes free low tech mammograms by using a “hands on” method for a thorough examination. Remember your breast’s health is important!
are there any breast exam medical clinics that are free in wisconsin? i dont know for sure, but i think i felt a lump in my breast so i need to find out where one is because i have no insurance to cover it…also would like information on breast cancer and as much of it as possible…thanks
