Some Cancer questions and how it’s realated to cell division?
1.What is cancer? What do ALL cancers have in common? What does cancer have to do with cell division?
2.List 5 types of cancer and give a brief explanation of each.
3.What is a tumor? Do all cancers involve tumors? Explain
4.Distinguish between benign and malignant tumors
5.What is metastasis? Why is it a problem?
6.How many Americans get cancer in their lifetime? About how many survive it?
7.What are the 3 major categories of cancer treatment? Briefly describe each.
8.Why do some cancer patients lose their hair?
9. What cells are effected by chemotherapy? Relate this to the multiple side effects of chemo.
I know this is at lot please answer what you can…also you can summarize the main ideas of these ?’s into a paragraph

As far as how cell division affects it: when cells divide cancer is simply a misprint in the DNA and then the new cells create more cells with the false DNA sequence and the build up creates a tumor.

1. it is undefined…it can come up from any organ in our body…it is something that rapidly destroys the cells.
2. lung cancer (most of the cells are destroyed/damaged you can brathe only with a half or a quarter of a lung); skin cancer (untreated dead/damaged cells are affecting good ones=>they divide resulting infected cells); breast cancer,
3. tumor=cancer that can be removed, something like locally or that cannot spread.
4. benign=can be cured, malignant=resident or cannot be cured or deadly.
5. metastasis= the last “stop” of the cancer; it is important because it is the phase when you start feeling something…which is very bad
6. search some statistics
7. dunno (something about benign)
8. beacause of the chemical treatment (most of it is done with suflur rays – for breast cancer i guess).
9. all cells?!Mainly you cant cure a cancer….you just retard it!

1. Cancer is a disease caused by the uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells which then invade nearby tissues and usually spreads to other parts of the body mainly through the bloodstream.
Cancer has everything to do with cell division because it is a result of cell division. Only that in the case of cancer, cell division has gone wrong or out of control due to a DNA damage or error, causing cells to divide overly, carrying that same error and overlapping, in the end resulting in a tumor. Remember that cells develop from one another and if one has an error, the next one will inherit it during DNA replication, and so and so on…2. i dunno the answers to all your questions, but its related to cell division becuz when cells divide very rapidly, not the normal speed, cancer happens, usually skin cancer
